I’m done reading The Best of Me by the bestselling author Nicholas Sparks. A heartbreaking novel where 2 young people who fell deeply in love with each other separated their ways due to life’s differences. And after 20 years of their life, they see each other once again, but their chance to be together gets more complicated.
A story that somehow show that sometimes life’s so unfair, that you were left no options at all but the right one. That you have to make the hardest decision, that you have to set aside your feelings for the sake of your love ones who’ll be affected if you dare choose your own happiness. That no choice was actually left for you but to be responsible and make life less complicated when it comes to your love ones.
A feeling that will really crash your heart into tiny pieces and will never be whole again, and yet if you’ll look for the deeper meaning, love means not only for your happiness but for the happiness of the majority of love ones around you. That love means responsibility, unselfishness and sacrifice. Just like the major decision that Amanda did in this story, she let go of the one she truly love, to keep her family whole. And we all know that this is the right thing to do. For Dawson, he just let go of Amanda too. For her to take it a little bit easy, because he knows at the right time, in their own time, they will be together once again.
Sometimes the right thing is the hardest thing to do, that no matter how many shits will fall right in front of us, life must go on and we have to keep going. We need to find our own ways to cope up with life’s challenges. Though there may be differences between Amanda and her husband, it’s the best decision she could do for now, as three kids will suffer if the marriage will fall.
Life and love are actually the challenges in our daily lives. It’s not always that the one you will truly love will be the one you’re going to spend the rest of your life with. You’ll be lucky then if you’re with him/her. That’s actually the irony of life.
So there… another tragic story yet something close to reality. Nicholas Sparks broke my heart once again.
For Amanda, keep going, life must go on.
For Dawson, I cried when I heard the news that you died.
But somehow, though Dawson was gone, he didn’t actually left Amanda. His heart was transferred to Amanda’s first born, Jared. Amanda will always feel Dawson’s heartbeat.
And for that, Dawson gave Amanda THE BEST of HIM…

Why I love Nicholas Sparks Novels
I started reading Nicholas Sparks Novels early last year. And the first book I got to read was Safe Haven. The very first book that really touches my heart, I fell in love with the story. From then I started collecting his books. And yay! I got ten books already.
What I love most of NSparks novels? Its stories are very close to reality. It’s not always happy ending, some are tragic yet will leave you a good lesson to go on with your life.
